Warsaw

You know what? Stockholm was card only almost everywhere!

Yeah, very common across Scandinavia (I should've caveated my comment with Scandinavia being the anomaly)

Poland ain't Scandinavia though, so card or cash is all good.
Uber dirt cheap over there; can get between the (main) airport and city centre for just a few pounds, and similar fares throughout the city centre. Or jump on/off the scooters to get around.

Nice bar towards the top of the Marriott hotel, for sweeping city views; not stupidly expensive for a beer up there either.

Think you can do the concentration camps from Krakow , apparently it gets quite busy at weekends with stag dos ,we found Wroclaw much better not as touristy ,would try a milk bar which is like really cheap polish canteen everything is fresh and ridiculously cheap probabyv£5 for a good meal, both cities have them .in Wroclaw there are bars around the 3 ? Squares probably £2 a pint ,Wroclaw is famous for its dwarf statues there's hundreds of them .
Just for the sake of clarity are they statues of dwarves or just small statues of regular folk…..asking for a friend

pretty much. Reasonable walking distance from most places. Very handy for the Powstanie Museum.

Pub there think it was called legends it’s designed on a British bar shows all sport etc
Not a dig but why go to a foreign country to drink in a British bar? It’s as bad as going to one of the many Irish Bars across the world.

Just letting him know where to watch the football should the need arise, but many thanks for your input kind sir

Am going to Wroclaw and Krakow in a fortnight.
Hoping to get to a football match.
Do you have any tips on what to do and see ?
Advice on bars, cafes, restaurants etc. would also be greatly received.
Thanks a lot...
Here you go,

Been to Poland quite a few times and it's a gem of a place. There's LOADS to see and do, the people are great and most of them speak fluent English (I know but it's not easy for me to speak Polish and pointless if the person answers me in English!).

Warsaw has the Palace of Communication which is just creepy yet beautiful at the same time. The old town is stunning with picture postcard streets and incredible to think it was rebuilt after the war. There's some brilliant bars and it's all very reasonable. The Christmas Markets were in when we went and it was beautiful. There's also an ice bar in a hotel which was a laugh.

I'd also recommend Gdansk as well - it's like a cross between Copenhagen and Prague. I don't think many people know about it but it's probably my favourite place I've been to in Poland. Loads to see and do and quite touching to see the museum and statues to commemorate "Solidarity" which you will know about from the 80s.

Wherever you go in Poland you will have a belting time!
