Was anyone Confident that Hughes Would achieve top 6 finish?

People saying no should really look at the table we were on course true recent form hadn't been great but for the fact we have stayed in and around the top 6 shows the others were dropping points as well. This season depending on Jan could well turn into another foundation season the 3rd straight.

Not in the slightest bit confident. Spurs & Villa better than us at the moment (not in terms of squad strength but certainly in the way they are playing) & unfortunately Liverpool will put a run together at some point.

With Hughes in charge I think we'd have been battling with Fulham for 7th.

from a neutral point of view i think you lot have just got to accept that mark hughes wasnt hired by your current board & it is from this point that they should be judged, mancini is there man,the money hughes has spent is chump change to your owners so it was hardly a gamble keeping hughes for a few months to see what happened, ive always had a soft spot for city because like me being a spurs fan it has been hard to live in the shadow of a more successful club,i just think you have to be patient because with that sort of millions at your disposal when so many of the other big clubs in the premiership dont have a pot to piss in,thats its only a matter of when & not if you start to really compete at the top & to challenge for trophys, you have waited 30 odd years im sure 1 or 2 wont kill you,ive never seen a board so at eachothers throat like this 1,ive always enjiyed reading it & your dislike of my club spurs delights me as i love us to be hated & not loved. i think your doing alright you are well in the mix for a top 4 place with the like of villa & spurs.lets hope 1 if not 2 of us break the top 4 because i cant stand the glory hunting tossers that follow the sky 4

It's a good post mate. Are you sure you're not a City fan in disguise?

;-)

No way top 4 and struggling for top 6. Our defence was getting worse with each game.

I got slated on previous threads when I made the point that City were in a false position in the league.

If it want for the terrible season for Liverpool, Man U, Everton and Arsenal etc we would be way off the pace.

If we were even close to the points targets set then we would be above Villa.

Ignore our league position as its a false measure this year.

Hughes needed to go and I welcome one of the best young managers in world football to our great club.

Now lets get ready for the REAL football revolution where the world is taking notice and looking on in awe.

Forza de azzurri di cielo

no mate i will always be passionate tottenham, but i do like this board & i met a few decent city fans in turkey in the summer & all we did was talk football & it pissed off all our other halfs,i just think your not in as bad as position as what some of you think you are,i was at white hart lane last weds & you wernt that bad & we wasnt that great,we just scored the 1st goal & then played into our hands & was always going to struggle with us on the counter attack, the only thing you have done wrong is give the goons 40million for toure & adebayor i despise them with a passion & thought you could have got better players & value elsewhere
