Was Chelsea our best performance of the season?

It was our best but to be fair that's not hard because our performances have been shite compared to last season.

They haven't. For the most part our season has been no different to last. We were very average from December to April last season, for many other games we were just about good. What's been different this season is we haven't thumped other top sides which makes everyone take real notice and forget about any averageness that's happening the rest of the time.

Take Spurs away, United away, Liverpool at home and Norwich away from last season and our season has been of an overall similar quality. That's only four games.

I agree, if we hit the 87 - 89 points this season then overall in terms of points and performances it will be very similar to last season where much of it was average.

The rags have been more consistent over the two seasons. Could be a conspiracy or they have better strength in depth and a manager who has managed more games.

We needed to buy better to kick on we didn't and we must do this summer

Put Bale, Cavani and Falco in and it will be a different story.

Tempo was up and maintained throughout the match. Definitely the best midfield performance of the season. That is the set up we need for the toffees. It will be great to see Rodwell develop into a top England player now.

Yeah I agree but Chelsea only had two shots all game and didn’t offer much but we was great and every player had a good game so let’s hope we can kick on and beat Villa

I think it was too. We kept Chelsea well under the kosh. The same performance like that at the swamp should be enough for 3 points imo.

Best performance of the season without a doubt. Solid at the back, dominating and physical midfield, created chances and got some good goals. The only player who didn't play well was Tevez. Everyone else was a contender for man of the match. We pressed very well and dominated the game. We broke at pace and utilised silva and yaya in their best roles.

Think you mean Aguero, not Tevez. Carlos was only on for 15 or so minutes and scored a belter.

Do you only watch MOTD or something? You see a wonder goal and think he must have played great. Tevez was awful, then the goal masked over his performance. Aguero's movement was world class, he should have scored, but his performance was fantastic.

Maybe Chelsea only had two shots and didn't offer much because we dominated the game so thoroughly?

I thought it was a great performance from start to finish. Remember, YaYa had a shot inside the first minute. Alright, it wasn't particularly powerful and was dealt with easily by Cech, but it shows we were out of the traps quickly.

He was awful and he has been for the majority of the season. Chelsea's defenders backed off him and allowed him to do what he does best. Totally agree about Sergio, too. There are a bagful of goals coming and soon.
