Was I mistaken? The armband on Saturday

Did anyone else notice, when Tevez was subbed, that Kompany sprinted to the bench and was pointing towards Kolo Toure and talking passionately to the manager.

Unless I am mistaken, Kompany clocked what was happening and went to tell Mancini that he should give the armband to Toure, rather than himself.

What a fantastic gesture to a teammate, who took the removal of his captaincy with real dignity.

I think Kompany wanted Toure to get the message that his leadership was still valued.

Did anyone else see this?

You might all be right. I didn't actually know Toure was vice captain.

Oh well. It would have been nice!

Yeah, to be honest I much prefer the dramatic, corrie esque show of man love and mutual respect which your interpretation gives, bit gutted now haha

Deffo was pointing to Boyata, who was hunched over at that point.
This.

As he ran over to Mancini waving his arms about, which is the recognised international sign language for saying, 'hang on boss, before you make that change, you need to know we have a problem over there that might make you rethink your ideas'.
