Sorry there now lad but he can't be any good if he thinks that was a penalty. I might not be a ref (thank God) but you don't have to anything about football to see that he wasn't pulled in the box at all, but the penalty was given. No foul in the box means no penalty. It wasn't a penalty and we can thank our lucky stars that the ref seemed to be on our side last night, if he wasn't we probably wouldn't have gone on to win the game.
Things even themselves out in the Premiership anyway because it happens over a number of games, those mistakes aren't acceptable in knock out games. Thankfully we were on the right end of it. I've said many times that things even themselves out in the end and that you are where you deserve to be at the end of the season, but not in knock out games. That's mistakes from refs can't be made. Luckly we were on the right side of it. I'm not so sure we'd be preaching the same thing if the ref gave a penalty when it wasn't one next leg and they went on to win the leg from it. We wouldn't be saying things even themselves out. And it can so easily happen. For me though this debate shouldn't be happening. How is it that the world saw in about 5 seconds that it wasn't a penalty last night but the ref couldn't. We need goal line video technology, it's their to be used. All of us are able to see what really happens, while refs go on what they think they might have saw. It's ridiculous. And the way the title race is going, it's so close that a ref mistake could cost a team the title. We've been on the recieving end of enough poor decisions, when we didn't have to be. I don't understand why it can't be put in place. It's ridiculous. I suppose it's because SKY think they'll have nothing to talk about after the game. Who knows.
