Was yesterday our worst defeat of the post takeover era?

It was up there that's for sure. I cant remember being this annoyed over a game 24hrs later!!!
I'm furious that every man and his dog knew how Leicester we're going to play, apart from Pellegrini, his staff and the players that is!

Leicester fully deserved the win, in fact 1-3 didn't do them justice.
Arrogance from us yesterday, total arrogance.

We seem to have this ethos of, "our 11 is better than your 11 and if we click, we'll win"................. That's great WHEN we click, but we have NO plan B and we make NO special plans for opposing teams or individuals.

Like I said very arrogant and ignorant on our behalf.

Liverpool this season was a bad one .
That Wigan defeat in the quarter finals still pisses me off .
That was golden chance to win the F.A cup again .

It seems like deja vu, we've had this conversation time and time again.Tottenham away with Hughes was pretty bad but considering whats at stake (making sure we get champs league for Pep) its definitely up there.

Still fookin fuming 24 hrs on, so i guess the answer is yes from me. Never been this down for a long long time. From potentially top to definitely 4th in 24 hours, and simply due to lack of application. Unacceptable.

There have been matches in recent years that have made me feel worse, particularly Liverpool away in that run in where it looked like we'd blown it and Arsenal away in the other title run in when Mancini left Balotelli on right to the end, well until his inevitable red card. Again it looked like the title was gone and not only that but the management was so bad on the day it almost looked like sabotage by Mancini. Today I just feel exactly the same as I did the day after the Liverpool match this season. A mixture of anger, confusion and astonishment at the manager for just making things as likely as possible that the opposition will have a good day and as likely as possible that we won't. I think he may have invented something new in football that I like to call "tactics in reverse". I just can't get me head round some of the things he does and I find it so frustrating. It is all made worse by the nagging thought that I can't get out of my mind that he's just going to take us to Wembley and do the same thing yet again and do his best to make a terribly ordinary side like Liverpool look like Barca.

Not even the worst this season. Liverpool beats yesterday, It's probably just a case of more people have realised this kind of performance is going to be a regular thing until the end of the season.

the defeat at Spurs this season was bad but we had played well in the 1st half and were effectively robbed just before HT, the 2-3 at Liverpool in 2014 was shattering but again, we played so well in the 2nd half and showed fighting spirit, I can forget stuff during the Hughes era as we were far from the finished article but yesterday was on a par with the 1-4 Liverpool fiasco in that our attitude from the off was completely wrong, our tactics were wrong and the players looked like they hadn't a clue what was going on. I feel we gifted that win to Leicester with our dreadful start, should have battered into them from the start instead of ambling around at the start and letting them dictate the pace

No it wasn't. It bears all the hallmarks of the game at the Dippers in 2014 and we know what happened from there. Everyone jumped on the Dippers/Do it for Stevie G bollocks and they bottled it from there on in. Doesn't even make my top 5 worst games since the takeover.

That's the thing,we could accept a heavy loss when we were absolute muck...even in division 3...as most put in a shift the majority of the time, but to have the players we do and for them to show no professional pride whatsoever is quite simply appalling. People may not like this but we have players that don't want to be at Manchester City and I'm not talking about Yaya. Most of our players have a shocking attitude and are quite happy to just turn up and do as little as possible to get by at the club. There is no fear for them should they put in consistently shit performances, the big problems started when the powers that be decided to let the tail wag the dog. We have a huge job over the next few years to build another team, let's hope Pep can do it but it will take time. There is no quick fix for the mess that has been created over the last couple of years.

Leicester played very well yesterday, we didn't deserve the win in any shape or form, which sits a very little bit easier with me.

To me its the one nil to the red n white shite when the ginger prick nodded home in the last minute or so after Bellamy had lost the ball needlessly taking someone on in our own half. That hurt me a lot.

Losing the Cup final v Wigan was worse than yesterday. Mancini a dead man walking and the players could have not given less of a fuck if they'd taken a bung.

Spot on. I still shudder at the thought of how much that weekend cost me in relation to the performance. We got a chasing by Wigan's players that afternoon.
And we haven't learned a thing since. Remind me was that Roberto Mancini's last game in charge.
The most positive step we could take now would be putting Kiddo in charge.

It was. We played Reading (I think) the following midweek and I remember photos of Kiddo in the dugout with an empty seat beside him. The atmosphere around Wembley that day was poisonous; lots of "you can stick your Pellegrini up your arse" chants being sung and, though I didn't see any myself, reports of blue on blue fights. Then the drenching on the way back up Wembley Way after the game. All in all, a shitty day.
