I think this is very disappointing , doesnt apply to me but i dont recall any of the warnings about it , i dont read papers or watch the news and if they say they didnt see the warnings then i tend to believe it , for some of them at least

I always doubted how they could make a blanket award, based simply off the year someone was born. There will have been hundreds of different situations and no doubt any award based just off year of birth will have included some who most definitely didn't need it. It's unfair to expect tax payers to keep forking out when the burden is already horrendous

The law on pension age changes was passed in 1995.
How much fucking notice do they want - 100 years.
They are just like a lot of modern society,they want compensation for everything that they don't agree with.
A bit like scousers really !!

I think an ombudsman looked into their grievance and said that some of them should have compensation due to the fact that they didn't receive a letter from various governments over the last 30 years explaining the changes that had been approved to raise the state pension age.
However,the ombudsman can only make recommendations and has no legal power to give away tax payers money.
So basically,they are getting fuck all in the way of compensation.
