Watched the game in Walkabout on Saturday, they've got a huge screen, and loads of tellies around the bars and stuff so if you're at the bar or something, you can still see the game.

You're joking, right?

The biggest dirtiest red pub in the entire city centre.

So much in fact, they have United scarves on the wall, to go with the Glazer campaign shit.

Wankers.

Stay out of town, that's where the RAG tourists go.

The only City pubs I know, if they are still there, are the old Brunswick and The Waldorf across the road, up by Piccadilly.

Otherwise, has to be The Friendship in Fallowfield, BarBibo in Northenden (big City hangout) most pubs in Didsbury and the Red Lion in Withington.

The City is theirs?

Pretty poor if that's the case. Brannigans isn't far off walkabout and that's a no-go cos of all the united flags hung up

Lass for me. Not the best layout for watching, not enough seats, but lovely little proper pub, decent beers and food, decent crowd, big screen and loads of big tellies, shows more than one match when required, and two minutes from my house. Winner. Varsity also has loads of screens and a mate works behind the bar so cheap beer options, Joshua Brooks could be worse in a Lass too crowded emergency.

Watched a few games in Golftorium, not sure if they do food but they've got loads of HD screens, seating. The little golf pods they've got with the couches are turned into screens aswell i'm told.

Best pubs for a laugh and atmosphere before a home game?

No mate I know there's pelnty places for that sort of stuff. I'm talking about places with the type of stuff Blue Punter mentioned:

Big TV's, comfy seats, cheap beer, decent food, efficient bar staff & no dickheads.

I was asking the question for my own benefit - rather then starting a new topic on it as your question was similar, just thought I would throw it in there.

As I have only been when sharing driving for home games so no drink.

Got to admit even in Nottingham the Walkabout is a bit of a Raggy place.

Only been there twice mind you, once when City played Chelsea at home and once, didn't real notice it that day, and once for the (worst day of my life) Carl's Cup SF but we moved pretty much straight away as it was full of Rags, not that the rest of the city is particularly full of bluemooners.

If you leave them to the rags then they can be a bit raggy.

Get in their and get in their faces BLUES

f**k walkabout, bouncers couldnt believe mates and me going man city mad, as it was a rag pub before away cf semi at ragworld

Don't ever go in The Hogs Head, cracking pub but full of plastic rags, watched a few games in there when United have been on,

when theirs a substitution for the scum, they actually all clap as the player comes off.........

no really they do.

So basically, there are no stand out places with big screens and the only palces you can get a seat and there are plenty of tv's are infested by rags?

Wel that's a bit shit
