It's just show the imbalance in this country, the wealthy south east has far too many people for the amount of water.

There is an option to build a National Water Grid, we do have more water up here because it is generally much damper than down south (one the reasons the Cotton Industry came to Lancashire)

Maybe if the 8bn or so it cost to build the Olympics was used to build reservoir's and other water infrastructure you wouldn't have this problem?

When there was a shortage over here we were getting it in tankers from Yorkshire .Funny as fuck watching the yokels throwing stones at us in the tankers on our way out of the reservour . Almost as funny as the pictures that were filmed then ,that seem to be shown every year since ;)

To be fair though the lack of water shortages up in the north east is due to the movement of the industry just after they'd finished building huge reservoirs for the steel industry and ICI
