Watford (A) Post-Match Thread

If Cancelo can usually play like that at left back we don't need to buy a new one, more to spend elsewhere.

Enjoyed that, very comfortable win. I wish Jesus had scored his one on one though, and stayed onside for his header at the end. Other than tnat, good performance all round.

God knows why we were so shit against Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola: “I think it's the first time we're able to win four [in a row] in the #PL. Two seasons ago we made 18, last season 14. That's how poor our consistency was this season. We're the same people - something was wrong.” [via

"They [Watford] were playing for a big issue and we were aggressive in more senses today. I said before, be ourselves. We can play better or worse, but there is a minimum in desire and passion and we showed it today.

For our strikers and wingers, goals are important. He [Sterling] did it and made a good season. We are far away from the champions so the competition in our performance was not good enough

"Laporte had a tough tough injury, an important player for us, a lot of time out. A big guy, and he needed more time to regain condition. Today was one of the best games he has played in the last month

#ManCity have now scored more #PL goals [97] than they did last season [95], despite playing one game less. However, City have 17 points less this season than they did at this stage in the 2018/19 season

I wanted to try and get a hat-trick today but it didn't happen. I'm really happy with two goals. It's massive, a winger scoring 20 Premier League goals - a great achievement. We have one game left and hopefully I can do it,sterling

Raheem Sterling on #UCL preparation: "We've got to really take all we can from these games. Madrid's going to be massive. They've finished the season brilliantly, won the league and we know it's going to be a strong test - they're a strong team.

I really do hope we keep Raheem on the right. I just think it gives us so many more options, at times him and Foden were right on the sidelines which created the gaps that Silva and De Bruyne could use in the middle. At others, they cut inside and looked so much more dangerous. It brings the variety in attack that the inverted wingers set up doesn’t and really works with those two in those positions.

i had £10 on De Bruyne to score Raheem to score city 3+ goals and 8+ city corners at 11/1
Cheers kev thought you was our penalty taker? Ah well he got an assist so hopefully he can at least equal the record v the canaries.
Just watching how shit arsenal aer here at the moment, can't believe we gave up our FA cup so meekly against them
