must be on a rotation if pep plans to keep the fitness, so many player on the bench. luck for blues

I don't understand why so many commentators/analysts seem to constantly question our so-called 'shaky' defense. By the expected goals numbers this year we have the best defence in the league and our attack is second to the rags. Hope we play a similar lineup and grab another clean sheet.
In any other country we'd be lauded for playing the way we do. But not here. It's brave (or risky) but fucking hell it's exhilarating at times. And we'll get better and better.

Most on here were saying this before our last league game IIRC. If we are fearing Watford (at any time of the season), we may as well just accept we are not title contenders. As usual, I suspect they will be more frightened of us than we are them.

I think that's an arrogant position that no City fan should be taking this early. They already got a result against Liverpool and haven't conceded a goal in the 3 games since.
We've been good going for the last week, but it was only 2 games ago we struggled against Bournemouth.

It will be a much harder game than last night.

You seriously suggest City should 'fear' Watford?
City shouldn't say they are title contenders?
City should be more frightened than Watford?
Come on @domalino, that can't be you..

City players should confidently take the leading role - while always respecting opponents abilities.

Your last sentence may be absolutely correct though - or not.

I didn't say any of that. I said that claiming we should never fear Watford is an arrogant position that the side hasn't earnt yet, we've had 2 good games so far. They put away Bournemouth much more easily than we did, they drew with liverpool 3 weeks ago.

And actually, last years champions, Chelsea, needed a watford player sent off and added time to beat them 4-3 last year, so to suggest title "contenders" have nothing to fear from them now, with a better manager and better players, is completely ridiculous.

Will be a difficult game, they look rejuvenated under Marco Silva and have the benefit of a full weeks rest. We're in great shape though and don't think Guardiola will make too many changes.

Ederson
Walker
Danilo
Stones
Otamendi
Mendy
Fernandinho
D Silva
De Bruyne
Jesus
Aguero

Can't c anything but this.

Getting harder to predict how we'll line up on a game-by-game basis, so good luck to Marco Silva on guessing how we'll go this weekend. Will we play the Silvas, the wingers, or try something completely new? Even when he gets the teamsheet, there can be no certainty that that's how we'll even deploy.

I wouldn't rest anyone. This is a tough game. Marco Silva is a good manager and they will be set up well. If we get a lead and look comfortable, then we can start thinking about giving some players a breather.
