What I think we learned last season was that if we are playing a good team, we can get a win despite a shit referee when our keeper is sound, and we can get a win despite having a shit keeper if the ref is fair, but we can't get a win with a shit keeper and a shit ref (e.g. Chelsea, Spurs, Everton away, Dippers at home, Arsenal away etc).

If Emerson is fit for Saturday, I'm confident of a win even with the Alty fan playing for them.

I think that's an arrogant position that no City fan should be taking this early. They already got a result against Liverpool and haven't conceded a goal in the 3 games since.

We've been good going for the last week, but it was only 2 games ago we struggled against Bournemouth.

It will be a much harder game than last night.

So you don't think last years Champions were title contenders then?

Because I'm pretty sure they were worried at 3-3 in the 90th minute of their game last season, and I'm sure that even after eventually winning they wouldn't pretend Watford couldn't have beaten them..

Noticed all of the line ups people are posting don't feature Foden or Diaz. Personally I think we will see at least one of these start with the other on the bench for the League Cup match.

They've drawn twice at home already this season, including to a newly promoted team.

And I'm sure they are very unhappy about it.

My point was more about our attitude as a club. No more of this 'difficult place to go' business

Maybe if we're up big in the second half we might see one make an appearance, otherwise I doubt it. Much better chance for them to start in the cup.
