Bit of a hairy last few minutes but an enjoyable run out. Nunes, Grealish, Zico & McAtee all had very good games. Few sparks from Phil second half. Debutant held his own and looked tidy in possession. O'Reilly grew into it and was looking composed second half in the deep role. Good match, enjoyed it. Shame that Savinho shot hit the post what a goal that would have been!

Walker is a liability

Hoofing the ball back to watford when he couldve just knocked it back to ortega.

Hes never been the most intelligent of footballers but hes got worse in that respect

Good game really, which we dominated, good to see a team that came to play football and not time waste and foul the whole game.

Ok from most players but sloppy finishing & big holes in midfield again & this is Watford.

We are desperate for another striker & central midfielder. Kova & Gundy are stop gaps & im glad we have them but we should not be in this situation.

No rodders & haaland & we are going to be in trouble.

I find it amazing we have one striker.

Well done young blues but I’m not sure how they would cope v prem teams

Wanted us to play the kids, we did, we won yet I still feel a bit meh!

Sloppy at times but minutes for fringe players and we go on to the next game. Great to see so many English lads in the 11 and particularly academy lads too.

We won by a Nunes goal.. he can't be totally useless as some claim.

BTW Rico was really good.. at times was like Rodri.

Walker has to do better. :(

Nico not bad.. much better than Jacob Wright.

Nunez has terrible negative body language on the field. You can see why Pep doesn’t pick him. Thought he was poor despite his goal.

Some great performances by the youngsters as well.

So after sunday we played another team from down south tonite, lot less rolling about from this lot and astoundingly they tried to play a bit of football and on a side note despite being an ex rag watfords manager is far less of a **** than the manager of sundays team.

Thought they gave a very good account of themselves after the silly mistake for our first goal. The Georgian lad they brought on looks a right player caused us all sorts of problems.

In the next round but worrying no matter who he picks, our midfield is so easy to just run through. Wasteful again, not getting a proper striker replacement in for Alverez shows, 58 attempts in the last 2 games with 4 goals where opposition have had 5 on target and scored 3.

Thought this, looks like he’s accepted his fate here. Says it all when the others were trying to get him to smile after his goal.

At one point he had a shot with 4 defenders infront of him, it rebounded into the mix and guess who came out with the ball. Loads of other examples.
Rico is the future.

Last 10 minutes weren't pretty, but who cares. Walker shouldn't be starting ahead of rico, scares the shit out of me he does.

He's just played 180+ mins within 48 hours or so too, I'd be amazed if he starts at Newcastle.

Defensiveley we are poor at the moment. Too much rashness.
Walker has been great for us but 100 percent needs replacing next season.
