I'm not sure that was ref's mistake at all. If their player plays the ball first, that's not offside. It was similar situation with chels3ea vs tottenham fa cup game last year I think and there was debate about that with conclusion it's not offside- He touches the ball and offside is canceled.

I could understand if sterling or aguero where 2-3 yards offside but it was a tight call,but I still say it’s onside ..

He is onside because the defender plays the ball its that simple.

Watford goalscorer was five yard offside when ball played to Deeney. They couldn't be arsed checking that out though. Good win City.
