As a season ticket holder in SS3, the total price you quote is almost half of what I pay for the whole season. Completely agree with your ‘ridiculous’ quote.
Should be capped at £30 for adults like the aways in my opinion.

Was looking at tickets before for a friend and his kids. 2 adults and 2 kids for Watford at home £150 or thereabouts! That is ridiculous.

Jesus as a season ticket holder my games work out at a few pence over £33 a game. That is crazy money. As a kid it was 2/6 in the scoreboard and 3 shillings in the kippax. With bus fares and a programme it was less than five bob. No idea what that would be today but I doubt I could afford it.

You are talking about a game that has long since died. The BUSINESS OF FOOTBALL is why we have HRH and not a 21st century Swales as Chairman/Owner/CEO!

Oh, and also why we are watching the best players in the world play the best football in the world in a world class stadium. 2/6 and Rainham Steel doesn’t cover it!

We are also talking 1968 and I was trying to compare cost in relation to today. Could a kid today use his spends and a bit of caddying and/or a paper round to afford a game? If not then it has to change or we will lose another generation. Oh and I didn't watch too bad a player or two then. Bell, Lee, Sumnerbee, Young etcetera.

Yep, I was there, too. Notice anything? Generally local lads, same 11 every week, transfers were 3 chickens and a side of beef, most players earned a pittance, only way to see them was going to the game or a few mins on MOTD, etc, etc, etc...

Today’s game is global, instantaneously broadcast live, and ALL about the global marketing dollars.

And, who is this Sumnerbee fella?! ;-)

I agree with you Chicago, things have moved on a pace, I started watching City when Peter Reid was manager, but now under Pep and our owners its a different club. Would I swap this for the early 90s, not a chance.

We are on tv tomorrow so no doubt those presenting will mention the recent news

Us as fans should ensure they know we behind the club but more importantly behind this team and manager.

Now if ever there was a time for an atmosphere is it.

Hammer Watford. Go 4 points clear and let's see.

Fuck everyone but us.

get behind the lads tomorrow - I have somehow just bought 5 tickets from out shit website and only need 3 so if anyone wants a free ticket - can meet outside Colin bell or summerbee bar
