Been below his usual high standards for just 2 games, so it’s all gone to his head? Haha! Odd comment. Sterling is as well grounded as anyone. He just didn’t play well, it happens.

Great to see Mendy starting. Would've liked Cancelo to get a start too but maybe that's too much change in the defence.
Mahrez deservedly keeps his place, think he'll go up another level if Pep gives him a sustained run in the team.
Not surprised that Sterling has been rested, he's been a bit ineffectual recently which is probably down to tiredness. I think Jesus on the left would've worked better with Mendy overlapping though.
Exciting team overall.

Only change I would’ve made would be David Silva out, Sterling in, and pair Bernardo in midfield with KDB and Rodri.
Bernardo is an exceptional player and maybe Pep feel it’s a waste to play him in midfield instead of the wing where he uses his creativity. But playing him in the middle of the park with KDB where they both press so much with their crazy workrate would improve our pressing and also give us a bit more security when getting countered.
Remember Bernardo against Liverpool in January.

I think if Mendy didn't have to start then Cancelo would have been in the first 11 today but an 'untried' RB and a LB who isn't fully match fit is too much of a risk.
