Watford Post Match Thread

So, I see the Goals of the Season lists are coming out. Looks like the only thing anyone cares about is a run from deep and shot, or a shot from outside the box that is a 1%er.

Also, I don't see a City Goal of the Season thread, and don't appear able to start one (Second Class Bluemoon Citizen??), so I was wondering which goals people would go for.

My choice: The "all-team" goal, where every player touched it. It's a team game and that goal epitomized what Pep means when he says if we have the ball the opposition doesn't, and it means we are always on attack looking for a goal!

Anyway, a City Goal of the Season thread?? Search didn't turn one up.

Some interesting stats

  • Manchester City have finished in the top four in the Premier League in seven consecutive seasons - the longest active streak of any team in the competition.
  • They recorded their 12th league away win - their joint-most in a single campaign

I thought we were terrific, but it has to be said Watford were awful
How many times did they pass the ball out of play!! I think Gomez set their stall out with that error in the first minute

MOTM- Aguero. He was unplayable today

When a team doesn't park the bus, this is what we do to them

What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, followed by that horrible churning feeling in your stomach.. NO MORE CITY for ages !! :-(

Wonderful result and really happy to finish 3rd. Had my doubts a few months back about finishing top 4, so glad to be proved entirely wrong. It's been a learning experience for Pep this season in getting to grips with what he had with his own team as well as learning how other teams play. Bring in a couple more signings and next season will be awesome.

If any player should be nervous of his first team place then Sterlings arse should be twitching , today and the mid week game showed that Sergio and Jesus are going to be devastating in the same side - the chemistry and runs for each other are there for all to see , two top drawer out and out goalscorers creating havoc and uncertainty on the opposition, despite Sterlings great first half of the season he's reverted to type- a player who lacks real quality week in week out.

A front 3 of LS,SA and GJ is surely the preferred starting line up , rotation will certainly come into it even allowing for Sanchez to join the ranks but that is by far the best front three option.

I'm hoping Patrick Roberts is going to get a chance next season. If he does I can't see Sterling getting a look-in.

Sounds like we destroyed the hornets today.

I think we have only lost 1 of the last 20 premier league games now?? I maybe wrong but I don't think we have lost in the prem since the Everton game in January???
If we can be as consistent as this since January next season then we should go close to winning the title. It's getting tougher though because everyone around us has improved as well and we all have plenty of money to spend in the summer.

Next season can't come quick enough!!!

There's one on the OS, a choice of three

The goal you mentioned
Kuns top corner thumper from outside the box vs WBA
Vinnie's top corner goal vs West Brom the other week
