Watford tickets on sale from

I appreciate that.

Although I have been a City fan since the 1960’s and was a season ticket holder in the 70s (collecting programme tokens and the front of away programmes to qualify for Cup and derby tickets), i have only recently returned to the UK, so even though I go to every home game it looks like I will never have enough points to get an away ticket.

I won’t make the mistake of paying £50 for Platinum next season - a complete waste of money.

Spurs and Leicester went on open sale if I remember correctly.

Liverpool didn't sell out no so long ago when e.g. November 2006, people complain they never get tickets for it were either too young or not bothered then
We didn’t fill the away end at Liverpool when we played them a few days after beating them in the League Cuo final. I think it was the Milner Goal celebration night.

Yeah I get that and agree but the guy before my comment was comparing Watford sales with united and saying why did united sell out quicker that Watford, so was just saying why I thought that was the case.

It's because more fans with the points wanted to go to united, it's also less time and money spent getting there. united and liverpool have always been more popular aways. I got a a ticket for united last time we could go but missed out by one sales window this time. But less people want to travel to Watford so I could get one for this game.
Can't agree with that. The overwhelming majority who have over 20k points go to Watford away on a Saturday just as eagerly as old trafford, they don't have 20k+ points picking and choosing games. They'll be very very few who aren't either going themselves or somebody they know/supporters club are using their allocation. What it shows is a rough estimate of just how many tickets are siphoned off for the likes of the derby when it's selling out earlier than a game with nearly 1000 less tickets available.

I take your point and I'd say it's a mixture of my theory and yours. I for one am over 20k point but due to family circumstances and finances there is no way I can go to every go away game like I used to (or at least try to). I would have gone to united if I could, I am going to Watford but I can't afford the money or the time to do all the longer distance aways. I know others who would have gone to OT but haven't even mentioned going to Watford. If I don't go I don't buy a ticket for anyone else. Annoying thing is I did go to all the aways when it was full price and now its capped at £30 I can't do them. And the other thing is the allocation for Watford was several hundred less than united, if we'd been given nearer 3K for Watford it would have got several thousand points lower at least.

Missed out by an hour or so, shame as the time and the weekend of it suited me well.

Next possible away I can go is brentford chances of a ticket are zero tbh, or Arsenal which I can see many swerving because of the time and issues with transport or post NYE deaths door hangovers

There’s something wrong in the ticket allocations when Blues who’ve retained their season cards and membership of all the cup schemes are going backwards in the queue for tickets. That said, I’m yet to meet the Blue who turns down a ticket for a high demand game to maintain the “integrity” of the points system. Good luck to any Blue securing tickets.
