Basically what I'm getting from his statement is that he's like a bad glory hunting fan - during the good years he's raving on about how he loves the club and wants to be there forever, and now we've hit a relative fallow patch (a season during which we still managed to win a trophy, more than Arsenal, Liverpool or Shitty achieved) he wants out.

What the idiots can't grasp is that if Giggs or Scholes were 25 now they'd be heading elsewhere too, at this level football has bugger all to do with loyalty and hasn't for many years.

I heard Alan Green say that yesterday to didn't he sound very very bitter, I had to laugh sounded like he was on the verge of a stroke.

Its a strange 1 for me because he talks utter trash nearly all the time his mouth falls open but he was BANG on the money with the Rooney thing. Cookie will be all over this, this is the big name Sheik Mansour has craved since the begining and I think even if he doesnt play again until jan we will bid for him and go all out to get him

If he doesn't play between now and January then no team will bid for him. It's hard to see how Utd could afford to leave him out for so long, because his transfer value will crash, and the player will be unhappy too. Therefore I expect some accommodation, and public face-saving operation

He's scored 1 pen in the League this season, and his ankle repeatedly breaks down so if he doesn't play between now and Janaury how could you justify a big money bid? if he doesn't play until January, I suspect someone might chance their arm with a low bid, but the big clubs will keep out until the Summer, or try and make contact with the player / agent and see how the landlies with regards to a Summer move.

He does seem beyond sure that Rooney will be a City player doesn't he.
