"Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle''

You lot want to be careful what you wish for.
As soon as they sack the slug he will be on sky telling everyone where a manager went wrong, why a strikers no good and how a defensive 5 at the back is revolutionary for manchesyoonitid and football.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's a "special guest" for our match today.

I'm agree which is why I put you lot.
I get sky free when I refused to renew with Virgin.
It goes on just before k.o. On mute the entire game and off immediately on the final whistle.

Sly Sports are a disgrace to genuine football fans. It exists in order to pander to the rag and dipper armchair fans: the fair-weather brigade who have never seen either of the two plastic clubs live, and wouldn't have a clue about the game were it not for the remote control on the side of their armchairs.

I put the word 'genuine' in italics because it is us real football fans that Sly are riding roughshod over. They are asking us to pay to watch live football, whereas in reality they are asking us to fund their infatuation with the two most disliked clubs in the history of English football.
The whole Sly Sports enterprise is a business that is only concerned with making money: personally I have no issue with that, they don't and probably never will receive a penny from me. They are out to cash in on a very competitive market with live football. Fair enough. But their total indifference to other clubs in the Premier league is an insult to the sport. Even when they deign to show a less glamorous club the talk in the studio will be what is happening with the rags and/or the dippers.

I don't go to the 'big' games anymore - too old, but I see my local non-league club play twice a week, and I chat to other supporters at these games, and every single one of them has a far deeper knowledge and understanding of the game than either Ratboy or Spitty (not difficult, I know).

So the club is shite and getting hammered every game - let’s sack the assistant manager and bring in Mike “Jobs for the boys” Phelan.
Unbelievable Jeff!

From the BBC Website

He has been reunited with Mike Phelan who worked at Manchester United as assistant manager between 2008 and 2013 during Rooney's playing days.

Phelan was appointed as Plymouth's assistant head coach on Sunday and replaces Pete Shuttleworth who left the club by mutual consent
