We’re bombing Syria

and were ready to investigate this weekend, unless the US has successfully destroyed the chemical weapons dump leaving them no evidence to find (or not find).

It was Douma being investigated. Not the sites that have been bombed.

We are a parlimentary democracy and any military action should not take place (particulary by a minority government) without a vote,

No. There is nothing to say that MPs must vote on such limited action at all. It was four planes not 100,000 landing on a beach.

I doubt may has the inteligence and also inteligence to understand the full magnitude of the syrian conflict and the several mini/proxy wars going on.

I doubt she’d get the spelling of intelligence wrong twice in one sentence whilst calling someone else thick.

4 dead already at least some got what they wanted.

That’s sort of the point of air strikes isn’t it?

I’m sure you would like Assad to continue to use chemical weapons on his own people eh?

It destroys evidence as to whether the places bombed did have chemical weapons. You've not read the thread.

The OPWC were going to Douma, not to chemical weapons facilities.

Not entirely comfortable with launching strikes without any vote, or in this case even debate, in parliament first.
Why?

It’s a brand new thing [having a vote every time someone in the RAF wants to break wind] and not something that would normally have been questioned in the past.

There’s nothing in the rules or constitution that suggests a PM has to in the slightest. Especially on such a limited mission. We make more sorties on a daily basis 400 miles to the east in Iraq every day.

Have we seen the proof it was him? What does he have to gain?
Well who else could have dropped the bombs in the most tightly controlled airspace in the world without alerting the Russian air defence systems or making them suspicious?

If there was any chance if was the West the Russia would be shouting it from the roof tops.

Thoughts are with our service men and women currently putting their lives in danger.

The rights or wrongs of us getting involved can be debated forever but we are involved and we need to back our armed services and hope they stay safe.

What we shouldn't be doing is getting upset that a man who uses chemical weapons is being targeted or Russia, a state that has continually put 2 fingers up to the world/UN and backed every despot out there doesn't like what we are doing.

The use of chemical weapons is a complete no-no and the whole world should stand together against it.
