Bang on the money... Can't believe how much we've spunked on average players.

Who played today that you would call an average player? Fernando? Kolarov? We bought those two yonks ago, and didn't "spunk" much on them. We had a cracking line up of top talent today FFS.

They played "ok" but looked tired due to lack of rotation and too many games, and then Clattenburg and the linesmen fucked us over. We're it not for the officials, we would have won.

Don't get me wrong, there is much wrong with our team and how we play, but "average players" is not one of our pronlems. We've the best squad in the league by a country mile.

If we were chasing 1 team and 6 points behind then there's a chance, but we've got to do better than 3 teams.
Add to the fact we aren't playing well and haven't done for most of the season makes me think this won't happen
Very optimistic about next year though, just hope we get the signings in early in the summer

Its an ageing squad and well past its prime.

Needs a massive overhaul in the summer and that's what will happen.

Fucking hell.

Some of the numbers about this season (from money spent, to not winning an away game in months, to the points total after 9 games to the next 17, from the not winning back to back games, to the losing two home games back to back for the first time in 7 years) is unbelievably fucking depressing.

If we're to have any chance we'll have to win at anfield as were likely to be 12 points off Leicester admittedly with 2 games in hand. We'll also most likely be 5 points behind Spurs and between 2-5 points behind Arsenal (with a game in hand on both)

Kompany is back, he can add some steel and resolve to the squad, we do the best with what we have and plug on. When all said and done, it is a gap of 6 points, to give up this battle would be stupid. If we gave up, the 6 points over our shoulder becomes, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and after 6 games that lot will be level with us and have 6 clean-sheets. Our form and commitment is patchy but it can be worked on.

Sterling is pretty average at the minute too. Few years ago we went through windows where we bought in Yaya Silva Tevez Kun Nasri... These were people that were improving our first team. We've relied on the very same players up to the point where none of them (bar Kun) are able to play at that same level anymore. Rather than surround/replace them with other class players we've stood still and watched our star players go old. The only class player we've bought in lately is KDB and even he's hot and cold.
