We should have just called ourselves "Manchester" and be done with it
It's a domain name, not a rebrand. The header still says "Manchester City". Regardless, mancity.com is much more reflective of who we are than 4 letters.
I really couldn't believe how fast it was considering how much traffic was hammering it. People are just uncomfortable with it because it's based for multi-platforms and doesn't have the classic desktop old school layout.
The Twitter handle @ mancity @ mcfc . You can see why they would change it.
Is there anything about the club you actually like.Just noticed that besides going from 'MCFC' to 'Man City' for the official home web address, the site domain of the official site has also changed from a UK domain to one registered in the US.
At the risk of sounding melodramatic, these broad strokes of rebranding: from the hideous new kit and the mildly dodgy new badge, to the club's internet presence, is rather unsettling.
It's a bit grim, frankly.
Can somebody tell me why we have dropped "Football Club" and FC from our badge etc? I remember when the scum did this and we roundly took the piss, but now we have done it not a peep...
