Dot com is not for yanks.
All the global brands I have to trawl for work use .com for the US based operations. We tend to be .com/uk and the rest are .tw, .fr, .de, .ca etc...

Exactly. All the global brands I have to trawl for work use .com for the US based operations. We tend to be .com/uk and the rest are .tw, .fr, .de, .ca etc...
It's nothing like that. In fact, mcfc.co.uk is far more akin to what you are suggesting above.Nail on the head. Especially the professional part. IMO it's akin to Apple referring to themselves as 'apl' or MS doing a bit of the old 'mcrsft'.
When talking with mates we use City. On the web, you do that you'll get all kinds of City's.Nobody I know has ever said I support 'Man City'
We are City..there's only one City so why would they add 'Man' at the beginning!
Again..as I have explained a couple of times on this thread
Doesn't matter what fans call us
I'm talking about how the club refers to us..and I think using Man City doesn't come across as very professional
We should HAVE changed it to that at all.We should of changed it to ManchesterFc not sure here but wasn't Manchester City the first team to be called Manchester? And when the rags wanted to change there name to Manchester they had to ask our permission?
I say Just City or from time to time gods own team, never use man city if honest, but not overly bothered if others do.
Think the original point is this is part of the clubs global marketing plan and dropping the full Manchester bit to a world wide audience has grated on some.
I mean how fucking annoying is it when people around the world refer to the rags as just Manchester, seems like we are letting them own that title, we know we are Manchester but to a new global audience we will be know as mancity while they are refered to as Manchester, it does make a difference in that aspect.
Mcfc man city manchester city City or the blues etc none of them bother me, we all know who we are.
