We are City..there's only one City so why would they add 'Man' at the beginning!

Again..as I have explained a couple of times on this thread

I'm talking about how the club refers to us..and I think using Man City doesn't come across as very professional

Nail on the head. Especially the professional part. IMO it's akin to Apple referring to themselves as 'apl' or MS doing a bit of the old 'mcrsft'.

I know the city is blue. Don't pretend City is the bigger club here either. I'm just trying to share with you the thoughts of our fans abroad. They're indifferent. I understand why you're steamed. I could care less really but I understand why the website and twitter handle was changed.

To be fair, even back in 1934 we were known at "Man City":

It's just an abbreviation, something easier to type into a URL bar. No big deal.

Not like the stupid "Cityzens" shit (we are the Citizens, there's no "y"!), or the overuse of the Moon/Blue Moon as a central theme of the club. Those two gimmicks I fucking hate the club using, but not really that bothered about "Man City".

Man City just seems unprofessional coming out of the club

It calls itself Manchester City. It's on the badge.

Mancity.com is easier to type from a marketing point of view and is catchier.

They could have registered a whole load of hyperlinks that point to the one website ie whatever you type took you to the same page

And no offence but with predictive searching who types out the full website

DOT COM is for yanks

And Ive never seen an arguement that wins over its Manchester City, because were from Manchester, the only football team to come from Manchester

Club name hasn't changed.

Badge has gone back to what the fans wanted.

Kits last a year and are down to Nike.
