We can still win the league

of course we can. but of course we wont. and i highly doubt anyone genuinely believes we will.

even if the top 6 were all level on points now, i reckon we'd be 3/4 faves at best. I'm one of the most positive blues about but come on, we're not going to be close to winning the league this year. would take 4th now in a heartbeat

If we somehow shore up our defence, and grind out results like Chelsea, and Chelsea have a 2nd half of the season collapse, then just maybe, but it rarely happens that way, it's more likely to be more of the same, with a few runs sprinkled around if we manage to keep Fernandihno on the pitch and Bravo manages to remember what a save is.....

It's possible for a very good or great team to win it for our position without a doubt.

We're not good enough to pull it off though, not unless Kompany came back full time and Delph became a revelation at left back.

Fantastic performance against Spurs showed what we are really capable of. If we can repeat this type of performances over and over again we can still snatch the title. Kompany is back, Dinho will be back against WHU. Chelsea's upcoming three games are Liverpool away, Arsenal at home and Burnley away. They can easily loose to both Liverpool and Arsenal and away at Burnley it is always tough. I can see them getting only 1 point out of 9 possible. Our next 3 games are WHU away, Swansea at home and Bournemouth away. All these games are winnable. If everything works out as planned, we will be on 52 points and Chelsea on 56 points and we will still have to play them. We all know Arsenal and Spurs will bottle it. Never mind Liverpool.
I think you 100% right still long way to go

Well according to Schmeichel we have no chance of reaching top 4.

Pep Guardiola has discovered plenty of critics in England, but few are more strident than Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel.

Peter Schmeichel has launched another stinging attack on Pep Guardiola, claiming Manchester City do not have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

The former Red Devils goalkeeper claimed in September the Catalan coach is overrated and Guardiola's City have indeed struggled for consistency in recent months, slipping to fifth in the Premier League table, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.

They remain two points above Jose Mourinho's United, though, as a tight race for fourth place - carrying with it the final Champions League qualification berth and currently occupied by Liverpool - looms in the second half of the campaign.

Asked who he thinks will emerge triumphant from the duel between the powerhouse teams from Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford, the Dane, speaking at the Abu Dhabi Invitational, replied: "To be completely honest, I think Man United.

"Mourinho has found the groove and he understands now what to do with his football club and the players he has brought in are slightly starting to gel and produce the football and results that we need at Man United."

Schmeichel was far from complementary about City, who followed up a chastening 4-0 loss at Everton with an encouraging 2-2 draw at home to fellow heavyweights Tottenham in their last two Premier League outings.

"I think Pep Guardiola so far has not been a success," he said.

"Yes, admittedly he inherited a difficult squad.

"[But] then you expect someone who proclaims he is a genius in football to go in and sort it out but I don't think they will.

"If I am honest I do not think City have a chance to finish in the top four. I think they have too many problems there and too many players are unhappy.

"I think when you have such a strong person like Guardiola coming in, the changes are too big and the players are finding it difficult to apply it."

City's next match is a league game away to West Ham on Wednesday, with United at home to Hull City on the same day.

No chance in hell of the league.
Be a battle to stay in the top 6 never mind 4.

Tosser, he was professional when he played for us but tosser nonetheless.

Too many unhappy players?

Why are many of our so called fans pessimistic, I can know see us going on a good run of results. Chelsea have two difficult games coming up which could be very telling.

Non of what he said, especially the bit I have highlights, is not back ed up by any evidence whatsoever - a typical United mouthpiece
