There's running for the sake of running and then there's teams that are set up so everyone knows what they're trying to achieve.

I don't think our players are lazy as much as the latter isn't that clear. MP obviously thinks we have better players than anyone and encourages them to express themselves in possession. Out of possession it doesn't look like there's a plan other than to try and get behind the ball. We need to be more aggressive and if a manager was driving us to do this, our running stats would soon match the others.

do dippers have lot of players produced from the academy? they might lack quality but more often than not they work quite hard, even under Rodgers on occasion.

They say a good captain should lead by example. Well our captain only plays when he can be bothered and the rest of the team seem to have adopted yaya's apathetic laid back style. Last night we had no leader on the pitch(till last 15) to grab the game by the throat and boss the tempo of the game. When kompany is captain we have a lot more passion and urgency to win games, and his continued absence both as a player but more so as captain is costing us points.

You make valid points. There were times last night when i wanted a City player to get in the way of the opposing player. Running alongside someone will not stop them.

Agree with this completely. No way that rag side was better than us even with Van Persie, and no way that Chelsea side were better than us either. We've given away two titles because the players thought the manager had hurt their feelings or thought they deserved a season off.
