We get Mourinho, he fails, what then?

Were going through quality managers like toilet roll. When you employ the 'Best' manager in the world and he inevitably suffers a few bad result, what you gonna do then?

Its all bollox, Hughes wasnt the answer fair enough but give Bobby a couple of seasons at least! FFS

i have no problem with this but even our owners have'nt give him time, he's out of here in 3 months, why else would we remain so static in the jan when the need for players was so very apparant.

The thing is de niro, we shouldn't have needed any other players, we've already spent a huge amount creating a squad that on paper is only bettered by Chelsea in this league, however there isn't and wasn't ever any balance to that squad. He played players out of position, he picked his best mates, and under Mancini we still play players out of position, we still pick our best mates. We had/have injuries (a number were purchased knowing that they were injury risks, Lescott, Toure, Bellamy, Santa Cruz), nothing changed/changes. Its clearer to me now, that getting rid of MH and his cronies was a good move, what's not clear is whether or not we have changed for the better, I fear not.

I don't personally think there would have been any point breaking the bank again in January, there is no value there ever, and it would have been papering over already big cracks, but I don't agree that its an indication that RM is gone in 3 months time (though he needs to get his finger out very soon or he will). Mourinho isn't coming here, he might like a challenge, but we're a basket case, and he's not a mug. The club should in my opinion come out now, and make Mancini's position clear, because its already resembling the last few months under Sven. There is a limit as to how many good managers this club can fuck up, and I think we're getting close now.

If Mansour leaves (and its not impossible if things continue to go wrong) we are royally fucked for the last time.

cleavers, this part of your excellent post is scary, remember what happened when Svens job was terminated months ahead of the seasons end, we went into total freefall, and unless the club make an affirmation on Mancini's position beyond this season, it could and probably will happen again!

That is the problem, you have just turned yourself into a football expert, the same sort of thinking loses us manager after manager & this one will be gone very soon, you NEVER EVER sack a manager in January it just doesn't work.
This guy would i'm sure have preferred to have taken it after this season was over,he doesn't know the league,he doesn't know the players,he doesn't know the tactics other teams use & from his 1st press conference he has been on the back foot with the press.
I'd mention zonal marking but i couldn't be arsed.
I'm just hoping the fall out with Kidd is over & we can kick on.
The knives are already out for the next one ffs.

Lots of Blues seem to be overlooking the fact that he's the best manager in the world and we're a small club (relative to who else he could go to) with a bit of money and ideas above our station.

Not sure what you mean bluemanc, its only an opinion, the number and cost of those brought in should (but didn't) have ensured we had more than enough players, so for me the signings weren't good enough (proved under both managers now for me).

Question for you, what fall out with Kidd ? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, so rather than hint at something, please tell us all what you mean.

Oh by the way, zonal marking is common to both managers, but under this one the stats suggest its better.

Which is why he won't, and if he was sad enough to read this forum, he'd have made himself very ex-directory by now.

Mourinho won't come here. He is going to the rags.

Doubt it. They have no money to spend and it will be a poisoned chalice.

He knows if he goes there he will have time to build. That's the key.

But like you said, the debt might put him off. Hopefully.
