We have become very 'Untypical City'

Did you watch the southampton game?

Fair point delete the thread haha

As I've already argued in a previous thread, I believe the QPR match last year was the epitome of "Typical City". Its the way we won that makes it so; while many would argue the fact that we did win as being "Untypical City".

dynasties rise and fall, money talks. Sir Baconface has been a force to reckon with on a world stage for two decades. one, maybe two more years but what the hell, let's start fucking with them, they know and see a sky blue tide a risin'

We will always have an occasional off-day.

At one time if we saw a banana skin on the opposite pavement we'd cross the fookin road to slip on it.

That's the difference.

Qpr was the mother of all typical city moments. Will never be surpassed, and just when everyone started to say 'Typical City' was dead.

And then take it to the match with us!

i agree with the op, we are nothing like the city of old. we will go into the semi final whoever we play knowing we can win. no hoping, wishing pleading for a win, knowing we can win.

and the best thing any of our opponants know we can.

we are not going in to this with a 35 year old monkey on our backs, in 2011 the tension and then sense of relief was at times unbearable, this time should we lose the game we know we'll be back, and soon.

its games like these that make me think thank god we have mancini in charge, i dont always like his style of play but he will set us right depending on who we play. this is his type of stage and setting.
