We haven't got a Plan B.

We bought Dzeko who can head a ball. Something we have missed for to long. But without wide men to feed him. What is the point of having him on the pitch. He likes to play through the middle . But with only Silva feeding him & Tevez. They both have to go looking for the ball. We need De Jong back to put some bite back into midfield. Then Johnson back to get some play down the wing. SWP is a waste of time. To late now but Bellamy or Petrov would have fed the ball over. Dragging defenders out. Wingers for next season must be made a priority.

Why on earth didn't Mancini pick Vieira? He is ideally suited to tough European battles where the pace is slower and an incisive path is required.

SWP is not good enough to start. He's not usually good enough to be a difference maker nowadays, yet sometimes in a tight game like this when our creative options are so limited (aka no AJ or Bellamy, but that's a topic for another day) I hope for him to come on in the last few minutes and maybe his 15-year old move of just kicking the ball past the fullback and beating him will work one last time. It's hopeful, it's optimistic, but it nearly always lets me down.

That it so true.

What has happened to us? Under Hughes last season we developed a reputation for showing the grit to be able to recover from going goals down in games, and now the reverse is happening with Mancini, yet we are supposed to be progressing as a club and a team?

Exactly - never mind 'no plan B' - plan A is pants!

We wont go trough in the EL anymore...just fuck the competition. We are not playing like a top 4 team. So fuck Mancini if he doesn't get us a top 4 finish. Then Mancini can go back to italy..it seems to be the only place where he can coach.

Im already getting bored with his boring tactics. If only Hughes could have sorted our defence...then he would still be the coach.

What a load of rubbish!!! We not only have plan b but also plan c!!! Let me demonstrate ...

Plan A - everybody pass the ball to a centre half and stand still

If that fails ...

Plan B - try the other centre half and what ever you do DO NOT face the opponents goal

As a last resort

Plan C - Pass to the goalie and then back to one of aforementioned centre halfs who will pass to each other and then we can claim we "controlled the game for long periods"
