We need defenders who can defend

This has been my conclusion from watching him. That said, I'd absolutely have him here. I belong to the minority who believe being a footballer is more important than being a tackler at CB.

So I'm a huge Stone fan.

Well for me, he's at fault for all 3 of our goals tonight to some degree. First Sergio gets away from him from Silva's ball. when he eventually catches him up, for some reason he shown Aguero inside instead of out which allows Aguero to shoot and its deflected to Dinho who scores via a deflection

2nd gets roasted by Sterling (although ball was out)

3rd plays an awful ball across the box which gets cut out and we get the free kick. Everton never recover and when eventually the ball is sent back in by KDB his defending is atrocious and Aguero takes advantage of the yards Stones gives him and scores a great header...

Good on the ball, poor defender. Directly responsible for lots of goals the blue dippers concede...!! Promptly hauled off by Martinez after a shocker... It's a no from me!!

The back four were very good last night. Otamendi made a couple of daft decisions, one of which cost us, but otherwise they were all solid.
I'm delighted to say that Demichelis is proving me wrong - I thought he was absolutely finished, but he's been good again in the last couple of games.
Zabaleta looked almost back to his best, Clichy barely put a foot wrong.

Couldn't agree more. I think if we can get two of our centre halves playing together consistently many of our problems will disappear.

Our defence played well last night, it's our midfield that makes us look so poor. Toure should be benched, he isn't really offering anything at the minute. If he's not defending, he needs to be doing something in attack.

Credit to MDM he's really stepped up and put in a good run of consistent performances since the turn of the year which he's needed to since Otamendi's nosedive in form.
