We score when we want

It feels better singing it than "we're shit and we know we are". It's the antithesis of the self-loathing we have become accustomed to. Is it arrogant? Sounds it. Do we mean it? No.
We all know we don't score when we want. We know that its a piss-take of our six-fingered inbred counterparts from down the road just outside Manchester.

It's annoying as an away fan so therefore it's worth doing.

so is the music that accompanies a burnley or wigan goal. should we introduce that as well?

That's not really the same thing is it? Like so many other things, if you don't like it don't do it.

i don't, that's why i'm offering my opinion on those that do.

hang on a minute, i did do it once. it was when john cena won at wwe raw live at sheffield arena.

Irony at it's finest...and for the record most opposition fans have already decided we are now arrogant anyway. If we can continue this arc of progress we will become one of the top club sides in the world...and be hated for it. C'est la vie.

Most Blues know it's a piss-take of the (once) glorious, ever-to-be-worshipped neighbours (*), but it appears that the media in general, plus a handful of Blues, haven't been informed of this. I beseech the club to rectify the matter. For the next home game, the tannoy announcer must give each song a 15 second introduction - a background to the song - for the benefit of those who, quite simply, do not understand.

* bow three times, turn to face the sun and shout, All praise to the raggedy ones!

perhaps we should face in the direction of the swamp when we sing it so that everyone understands who it is aimed at ;-)

I like it. We shouldn't be scared to wind other clubs up, they certainly won't stop trying to wind us up. And if it occasionally backfires on us, who cares? Thats football.

I imagine in a few years time if we carry on improving people are going to be calling for "best team in the land and all the world" to be stopped.

this ^^
