I think I may have come up with a novel idea:

In my opinion they're the best team in the land and all the world but your club is not without its charms. I'm sure you're very good and although you keep calling us glory hunters and claim with have no history you are entitled to your opinions but I respectfully disagree.

At first I didnt like it but now ahh fuck it why not..
After all,football is rivalry between clubs as well as fans,scoring against another team is what the game is all about so why not praise it with a song.
If football was all goody goody then we'd applaud goals scored against us..
But we dont, in fact....we hate it.

Yesterday we put 3 past the tightest defence in the league upto yesterday, against a team who were unbeaten, we are destroying all records with our start to the season, why not enjoy it!
Hark now hear,the city sing....on second thoughts don't because we are rather embarrassed about being so good, we will just sit here quietly until the final whistle and let you nice opposition fans sing songs about us...because of derby day!
