Last week we won 6-1. This week we won 5-1. Yet we still end up with a half-full stadium with plenty of time left to play.
IT'S FUCKIN EMBARRASSING!

Please do our club a favour and stay until the final whistle and give our team your support until the end of the season and give them what they deserve - a round of applause for a job well done.

If you do leave early then you're a cnut, end of.
 
Also can't understand this. We stay until the end, clap our team off, and still home in Woodley 30/40 mins after final whistle! We must have one of the easiest grounds to get away from in the prem as long as you park away from the ground in the direction of travel. I can understand late night games when people have to catch their last train but the amount of fans that de-bunked today beggars belief. Also, why pay for 90 mins but only consume 80/85 mins? Plain daft and like the o.p. suggests gives the wrong message not only to the tv audience but also our own team.

the traffic coming away from the ground can be appalling depending on where you park, so leaving with 2/3/4/5+ mins to go can make all the difference

it also helps when the game is won/lost as you know you wont miss anything important

i dont leave early but understand why others do, its not exactly a huge issue and its not like we're the only whose fans leave any game early
 
It´s incredibly disrespectful and makes us look like ungrateful pricks...

i said this to my dad, it seems were not appreciating wins enough any more, we seem to take them for granted, is it me or has it got worse this season?

This ^^^ not to mention the police dont help matters by closing the road in both directions to let the fans cross the road even before the final whistle has gone, if you get caught in that it's an extra 30mins wait. It's a mare around the ground so like the above says leaving 2mins early can make all the difference. Once the tram is there though I'll take that and wont need to leave a little earlier. But as I have said before, I pay for my ticket so it doesnt effect anyone else other than me, unless you want to pay for my season ticket?
 
We have a guy near us who set a record today - he left at 78 minutes - that is the latest he has ever left - 70 is the earliest! His son/grandson is so embarassed.
I just don't get why anyone leaves early ever

I fucking hate when people do it. FFS what is it that is so important about getting home 5-10 minutes early? what are extra thing are you going to do in those 5 minutes that is so fucking important? If u dont like traffic support your team and w8 a bit longer after then get in your car. not once have i ever left early and never will no wonder we drew all those games with hughes at the end bcoz the team probs saw our fans leaving and thought oh wel do the same then? were all part of the club youd be pissed off if mancini or kidd or any player decided to just leave 10 minutes early all those that do it need to fuck off from the start rather than just at the end
 
Said this after the Wigan game and it p****d me off even more today. Fort he few that have a real valid reason then ok but it has got worse and worse this season. Biggest home win of the season and the players deserved rapturous applause at the end.

To those that go early please can you stay next week against the rags. Whatever the result. And if you can manage it for that game then maybe think about staying for the next one, and the next ....
 
I bet it looms really impressive on TV when the place is half-empty with ten minutes to go. I just assume it's the johnny-come-latelys who can't be bothered to watch the full game.

bollocks mate....its not 5 or 10 mins early....if i leave the ground with 5 mins to go i can be home in duky 20mins later.....if i wait till full time and get caught in the closed traffic lights then its takes well over an hour...you can be stuck at the lights for at least 1/2 hr

anyway, thats beside the point as i pay for my ticket and leave when i want
 
we left with about 3 minutes to go, we had two young lads with us thought it was best to get them away before the brum fans came out as we thought it might go off outside and didnt want them to see it if it did.
 
People on here are nothing short of pricks sometimes, people can leave whenever they want as they PAID for the ticket.

Sometimes people have babysitters to go home and relieve, or family to get to espeically on sunday, or elderly and dont want to be caught in queues and 1 hour waiting to leave parking or any other number of circumstances.

If you paid for your ticket, stay as long as you want, and let others do the same.
 
The truth is if you leave with 5 or more minutes to go you actually get home 45 minutes earlier than if you stayed until the end. Or so we are led to believe.
See, the ground is a tardis.
So what I suggest is kick off when the ground is 3/4 full instead.Then we can moan at the late comers as opposed to the early leavers.

Never undestood early leavers, never will.
 
I got savaged the last time I started a thread on this.

This is exactly the kind of thing we would give it to the Rags with both barrels for. So why does it make it ok for us to leave early? It is the same traffic nightmare getting away from the ground for everyone, but we are on course for our highest league finish since 1977 and people are still leaving early, even in game in which we are winning 5-1.
