we STILL deserted the ground with 5 mins to go!

I fucking hate when people do it. FFS what is it that is so important about getting home 5-10 minutes early? what are extra thing are you going to do in those 5 minutes that is so fucking important? If u dont like traffic support your team and w8 a bit longer after then get in your car. not once have i ever left early and never will no wonder we drew all those games with hughes at the end bcoz the team probs saw our fans leaving and thought oh wel do the same then? were all part of the club youd be pissed off if mancini or kidd or any player decided to just leave 10 minutes early all those that do it need to fuck off from the start rather than just at the end

So that the answer to why we drew all them games earlier in season, some of the fans left a little early so they could get home earlier. Rather than waiting half hour around the ground.

Yes I would be pissed off if Mancini or Kidd left 10 minutes early as their paid a fortune for their time.

What about all the piss heads who spend 10 extra mins in concourse drinking the watered door beer at half time !

its got fook all to do with anybody else what time some fans leave they pay for there ticket and can by all means only stay 5 minutes if they really want to.

there seems to be some kind of fad at the moment were individuals want to try and tell others what they can and cant do at the moment and its taking the piss.

Bollocks, it's sad and the players must think it too.

Things can't be much better than they are at the minute, but really will people still be going home early if one day we are top of the league?

We used to call the Rags sad bastards for doing this, so why is it OK for us?

To be fair you can't hold it against people who have young kids with them, if I had a young kid with me I think it'd probably be very difficult trying to get through the crowds after the match so I can understand that but yeah I totally agree that it's bad to see people leave just to get home early.

At the end of the day though it is up to them but I think it's a bit disrespectful towards the players to leave while the match is still being played because you want to get home early, especially when they put in a performance such as today's. I remember the Everton match, when they scored their second the majority of people around us just got up, moaned and walked off. I understand why they left but really we should be supporting our players through thick and thin. What's worse was the guy sat near us who was giving it all that and having a go at people around him who weren't singing was actually one of the first to jump up and go.

I can't say it really annoys me or anything though and at the end of the day everyone is free to do what they want.

I just don't get it. I've taken people who have suggested it to me, but no. I stay, I hear the final whistle, I show my gratitude to the players for their efforts by applauding them. Or if I'm disappointed, I don't applaud, but I still stay.

I think if I was a player and I saw everyone leave like that, I'd just feel it as apathy from the fans. No-one cares, so why do I put the effort in.. I think it's nice to show your appreciation, let them know it means something.

I mean, yeah it's faster. You know another way to get home quicker? Not leaving it for the match.. If you make the commitment to go, I see no reason to go all half-arsed about it.

its been going on for years so why is it any different now and its not just the scum that do it,you may need to look at football grounds all over the country to realise!

How old are you? Leaving on 90 mins and missing injury time can make a difference of a good 1/2 - 3/4 of an hour to some fans that live further away. It certainly used to for me when I live in Lancaster,

As for the fans making the players give up - I am sorry but the £100k per week should be more than enough reason to try for the full game.

-- Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:13 pm --

I got savaged the last time I started a thread on this.

This is exactly the kind of thing we would give it to the Rags with both barrels for. So why does it make it ok for us to leave early? It is the same traffic nightmare getting away from the ground for everyone, but we are on course for our highest league finish since 1977 and people are still leaving early, even in game in which we are winning 5-1.

Not everything has to be compared with the rags.

We're on row X in 326, long story, shit seats, we leave our seats at 85 mins to sit in a couple of deserted seats right down near the exit. I can feel the hatred of those that think we're early leavers, I hate early leavers too, not a great deal anyone can do about it though, personal choice innit.

I always stay to the final whistle and am home in bLACKLEY 20 minutes later.

Of course I don't park in the club car park though. I walk a few thousand yards instead to the old abbatoir.

I am not they sort that compares everything to that lot so don't start with that shite, but the facts are they get slated for it but our fans do exactly the same, in fact worse.

4th in the league, potentially the best league finish for 33 years, winning 5-1 and a half empty stadium at the end - they should have received a standing ovation.

Once the tram is there though I'll take that and wont need to leave a little earlier.

The tram will be a nightmare for queues. It can be terrible at the real Old Trafford after a big game like a test match.

Last week we won 6-1. This week we won 5-1. Yet we still end up with a half-full stadium with plenty of time left to play.
IT'S FUCKIN EMBARRASSING!

Please do our club a favour and stay until the final whistle and give our team your support until the end of the season and give them what they deserve - a round of applause for a job well done.

If you do leave early then you're a cnut, end of.

I have always stayed to the end and clapped them winners or beaten, but left early today because have just started a new job, was on 12hr shift last night only got 3hrs sleep before going to the game then get back here for another 12hr shift .... as you can see some of us do have reasons!!!

I leave when the extra time board goes up and i clap the team b4 i go.

Yes, but WHY do you leave? Let's face it, if everybody did the same as you there'd be nobody left in the ground at the end and that would be totally humiliating to the club.

Get a grip, stay and be a man.

Why the fuck don`t you get a grip a man? Their`s more to life than clapping a bunch of over paid tossers off the pitch every other week, who probably couldn`t care less anyway !
Alright they're playing well at the moment and if we all stayed and clapped them off every week they`ed get better and better ! NOT !

If you think that about our team why do you go in the first place? I couldn't care less about whether other people leave early or not, I have never done it myself but that is MY choice, but to slate our team as a bunch of over paid tossers is disgusting.
