I think the last week has showed fans of other successful clubs what they could have become if they had the class and humor of City fans.

United have had one of the most successful managers in history at their club for decades now, yet the fans cant even create a short song to sing and show their appreciation to what he has done for their club.

Chelsea seem to be searching for some kind of identity and personality as a cub, singing 'we know what we are', as if its them against the world. When really its their own fans that have lost love for their club, the hierarchy and their players.

The humor, the respect, the class and the love from City fans is like no other. The fans just love each an every player....even if they're crap. They love the style of play, the manager's personality, the decency of the board, everything. And im yet to see another group of fans (maybe Liverpool to a certain extent) create so many unique songs and unique, humorous ways of supporting the team. The inflatable bananas, the Poznan, the Balotelli song, the MCFC OK...its all just simply brilliant. We dont even chant other fans to fuck off, nick nack paddy wack and all that other bullshit. We mock them with witty jokes that is beyond their IQ.

I used to enjoy being a fan of a 'smaller' understated club out of the limelight and media. I was scared a lot i loved about the fans and club would dissapear. But im am glad to say a lot of the identity remains, lets just pray the next generation of City fans who haven't experienced the tough times understand and continue this.
The best post I have read on here in a while. Well done!

Its down to the fans who suffered typical City to teach the next generation to respect what we have and where we come from.

He said He got a big pay rise when Ric hired a couple muppets, apparently he's got a contract a bit like Frank Lampards, he's got to be the highest paid mod.

I bet he put it on Bluemoon expenses

Quietly observing the classless Pompey fans that flooded Brentford FC on Saturday, giving it large outside the main gates, a pocket in the Family stand taking liberties, generally pissed up neanderthal idiots giving it johnny big bollocks at a "smalltown" club, confirmed to me how good it is to be a Blue..

Loud and proud, but havin a laugh whilst we're doing it..

-- Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:27 pm --

Don't normally start my own threads but somehow feel compelled this morning...

What a great weekend. From witnessing Brentford's very own Aguerooooo moment with some top lads on Saturday, then taking Camden Town by storm on Saturday night to the trip back up the motorway on Sunday night.

The Green Man just gets better. I found myself having some "quiet" personal moments just looking round at the City hoards, so many happy faces, watching different groups having a blast, getting smacked in the face by a basketball the weight of a medicine ball, the blue flares, Kevin Horlock, Ricky you fat bastard, the Jaeger girls getting loads, the GMP copper getting loads (good humoured), just brilliant to be a Blue.

I am so proud of our fans, we're such a grounded funny lot. The humour had me in tears most of the day. The sing songs, the banter, the shit transit vans, the services mobbed, just brilliant.

Take a bow blues, I love every single one of you ugly mothers..

Laters.

Gay. ;)

I posted that in a really manly way though..

(but don't knock it til you've tried it is my motto)

Expect a few more adverts popping up this week.

I think our supporters are ok... but are we really as good as the club needs us to be for the future? Given the money and expectations, I think the club could really move up to another level with some better supporters. Imaging bringing in the supporters from Dortmund, Schalke or even Poznan. Much better energy, more coordinated, better able to handle European nights away, better tactics for ordering drinks and travel and lodging on the road... I wouldn't be opposed to saying "thank you very much" for the service and loyalty, but trying new European supporters to take us to the next level.

Brilliant weekend started off in Uxbridge with fellow Blues and as always meeting up with new faces and it's like you've known them for years. Great chinese Allan Harper and at some point i'll get some of the photo's up on here.

Got to be honest but about ten minutes before kick off I looked around the stadium at all the smiling faces from young kids to old men and I got this big wave of nostalgia and City love and not for the first time in recent years going to Wembley I was a little choked to say the least. Just fucking love this club and that sea of sky blue.
