Brilliant performance, first 70 minutes was as good as I've seen us play for ages. Liek the Arsenal game but against better opposition who were on their game, we just outplayed them.

Last 20 minutes we sat back a bit too much for my liking, and I think it's something we've got to knock out of our game. But I'll take that performance any day.

Makes you wonder where that sort of tempo and attitude and passion and desire has been for the last two months, and I still think missed opportunities when I look at the table today. But if we can carry on the way we've played the last two matches I don't think we'll have any worries about making top 4.

And I've never really been confident that we could do that this season.

Spot on... our tempo, pressuring, work rate and desire was at exactly the level of a club want to challenge the very best... it needs to stay at that rate now. Fucking top!

I second you pal. Now only if we'd have beat fulham and hull haha.

A real team effort. Amazing what a bit of passion and urgency can do. Well done City.

Players - 10/10.
Hughes - 10/10.
Tactics - 10/10.
Atmosphere - 10/10.
Attendance - 10/10.
Performance - 10/10.
Result - 10/10.

Absolutely brilliant today and the last 2 games we finally look like a team. The players individually always had class and on paper are better than nearly all prem squads but they have been playing as individuals and not as as team. Today and on Weds we have looked brilliant and actually looked like a team that can challenge the best.

Also the atmosphere the last 2 games has been brilliant and we really are playing our part too.

Well done players! Well done fans! Well done Hughes! Well done City!

It's days like today that you feel very, very proud to be a blue!

Not perfect today, but very, very good.

We beat Chelsea for sheer drive, effort and ( to use Hughes' second favourite word) tenacity.

A really great match to be at (I'm still hoarse).

It amazes me to hear anybody suggest that the referee helped us. Chelsea are used to keeping the ball and committed foul after foul in desperate attempts to win it back. How they still had 11 men on the pitch at the end of the game is beyond me.

Victory but bitter victory with too many controversial calls by the referee. This man seemed to turn City into a tool for United in their race for the title.
Manchester United fans must rejoice as their main rival to the title lost and can thank the referee.

What!!!! You muppet, City were far and away the best team on the
pitch today. We deserved to win, you are a cock and probably a dirty,
stinking,rag.
