Only Arsenal away in 2014 that is really tough in the opening fixtures. For any home game city are favourites.

It is Jan that is tough, and Everton A, Arsenal H, Chelsea A just after the ANC call up date.

Perspective. Put yourself in the shoes of Dippers,Chavs,Arse & everyone else. No one wants to play us,THE CHAMPIONS,once never mind twice,particularly early doors.
Last season we thought we'd got a decent early start & a really tough close.......weall know what happened.Our form after Sunderland away was the form of CHAMPIONS.
Most clubs will strengthen and some will cope post W/C better than others....BUT would you swop our squad,our mentality,our momentum,our manager for any of our rivals?.....no neither would I.
Not withstanding anything catastrophic happening,if our BIG FIVE stay clear of major injuries we stand a hell of a chance of winning 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS in 4 years.
Have faith..... this is a team approaching greatness. What a time to be a CITY fan.....and we're still building. Buzzer warned 'em all on Sky all that time ago !!!

Ridiculously hard start. Does anyone really believe that these fixtures 'randomly' come out of the fixture computer? It's all about momentum and there's a good chance that after the first five games we are already chasing. Corresponding fixtures last season got us 10 points out of 15. However, Chelsea are already a stronger, arsenal will be and so will Liverpool. Hope is that they won't have completed all their signings before transfer deadline. If we can come away with something similar then whilst we would be behind that would set us up nicely.

Conversely, we slip up in those big games and the boo boys will be out in force, throwing their toys out of the pram and looking for blood. Whilst it wouldn't end up in an OT scenario my fear is that we will be off the pace for the rest of the season whilst our rivals build on a strong start.

If we had the rags fixtures we would be looking at 24 out of 24 in the first 8 games, meaning the rags could be full of confidence going into the games against Chelsea and us.

Not really, could mean the others only play one title rival and Chelsea play 3 or 4 etc. Not hard to understand.
