Controling the Ticker Tape from EL 3 Block 308 on
Has anyone heard if the club have arranged anything for Weds night event wise.... I e-mailed the club just after the Derby to see if we could get the 'Ticker tape done again' although very interested, we aggreed it was best not done to close to the last time, it is something we will arrange for next season, again for one of the big games, maybe a European night.
I did ask if there was anything planned but they wouldn't say, I really think the fans will crank this one up to another level anyway.
Can we see loads of banners again on the 2nd and 3rd teirs, we do seem to be seeing new ones nearly every game.

Roll on Weds.................

What needs to happen on Wednesday night is that EVERY fans sings their heart out from the moment they enter the stadium to the moment they leave. We don't need gimmics to create an atmosphere, us as fans can do it and if we do it right we can create the ultimate intimidating experience for the tottenham players.

It's nothing to do with gimmicks, card displays & huge banners add to the occasion, attempting to put a downer on something someone suggests certainly doesn't help.

A game of this significance should not, and does not, need any gimmickry to get the fans excited. I plan to go in and sing me head off for 90

Looks like it's not just me as well who thinks this way. Since when has the show been anything but the football, and since when have we become reliant on the club spending money on gimmics so we can get excited about a game of football. I get excited for every game just purely off the prospect of the football on show.

Believe it or not that's at our stadium, you do stuff like this to get fans who don't normally join in getting involved.
You do not sing from the 1st minute to the last & you certainly don't get excited for every game purely by the prospect of the football on show.
By all means do nothing but why bother pulling somebody down that's actually trying to do something,i just can't see the point.

If the fans can't get excited about this paticular game without flags and other stuff then they will never get excited.

the clubs called out the fans on the OS. asking us 2 bring flags, inflatables, scalfs etc to make it like hamburg but then crank it up a notch

You do everything you can to do that, you don't want to so that's fair enough.

-- Mon May 03, 2010 1:00 pm --

Good, flags scarfs everything, let's get everyone taking part.

I agree we don't need gimmicks and if they do lights out it will have no effect because it will still be light

st everthing to 11 and parrrrrrrrrty.

While the club will announce some exciting events that will happen on the night over the next day or so, we want you to bring your scarves, flags, inflatables and make the City of Manchester Stadium a sea of blue.

Looks like somthing will be happening weather we need it or not.
What they should do is just sell bananas outside the ground like Hamburg.

Fair enough, I just think the atmosphere at this match will be ellectric regardless.
I would love to see that, everyone turn up stone cold sober no scarves no banners no blue shirts whatsoever,we could all sit down & sing our hearts out for the lads like we always do.
Standing should be banned for this game we don't need it we have seats.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE POSTER WHO SAYS WE NEED TO SING OUR HEARTS OUT FROM FIRST MINUTE TO LAST, BUT THAT NEEDS TO INCLUDE STILL DOING IT IF WE GO ONE DOWN - DOES MY BLEEDING HEAD IN THE WAY THE GROUND GOES QUIET WHEN WE ARE LOSING

Gimmicks or not, the whole stadium will be going ballistic come kick off, Just wish I lived in Manc. now, but I will be watching and cheering with a few faithful in HD & 5.1 sound with flags out in me living room in Belfast.
