That's amazing mate well done.I'm 3 in 3 and feel just as you do.
What if you can’t?This “they need educating” is bollocks.
Burn off more than you eat. It’s that simple.
Im 3 in 3 and worth every penny for me, just like u making better life choices but it has allowed me to do that and if people are happy to pay i dont see the problem with it .I'm on Mounjaro self funded after years of trying to lose weight.
I've lost 4 stone in 4 month. And changed my life. I won't be on it after xmas as i'll come off it. I wasn't huge looking. But i was unhealthy.
I have ADHD, so struggle with sticking to things. I also eat for comfort, if i'm bored, if i'm happy etc.
There's plenty of judgmental folk on here. It's not as easy as you think.
Just to add, I've not just continued eating crap food and boozing. I've completely changed my lifestyle too. 1500 cals deficit a day. 10k steps average too.
I won't be going back to fat.
I think with the price increase it will roughly go to between 220 and 330 but im like you mate money over health and if i have to cut out other things to pay for it then so be itAbout £150 a month.
But money over health (in my eyes anyway)
you could of wrote my story, same with my wife lost 3 stone ,nearly at target weight, she looks great and more importantly she feels the benefits in herself, they only thing from your story to mine is the "absolutely loaded bit :)There are some odd comments on here from people who just tend to say fat cunts .. shouldn’t be so lazy.
My Mrs tried absolutely everything to lose weight, exercise , giving things up but after initial successes it always crept back on..
She has been on Mounjaro now for around 4 and half months and has lost around 3 and a half stone and is now only half a stone off her target weight of 9 and a half stone.
Not only does she look a lot better for it, her mental state has also improved as she has always hated being overweight.
So it has been a priceless help as far as we are concerned.
Yes, she was a bit worried at the potential increase in price of it, but as we are absolutely loaded I have told her to stay on it as long as she wants …whatever the price goes to.
So to those who slag anyone off who is on it, I say as long as you, or anybody else is not paying for them, it’s none of your business..
Despite the fact she is getting plenty of compliments, I am hoping the lifestyle choice keeps the predators away. Plus, she is six years younger than me and in better health, so statistically if she is a little bit patient she cops for the lot.you could of wrote my story, same with my wife lost 3 stone ,nearly at target weight, she looks great and more importantly she feels the benefits in herself, they only thing from your story to mine is the "absolutely loaded bit :)
oh and you know the pair of them will piss off with another fella as soon as they hit target :)
Apparently there is a hunger switch in your body and it suppresses it.Ok. Serious question time.
1. How exactly do these drugs work
2. How to you go about getting a prescription
Why NHS “ no chance “?Apparently there is a hunger switch in your body and it suppresses it.
It is not a miracle cure in you cannot continue as you are, there has to be lifestyle changes.
It just makes dieting that much easier as you are not constantly thinking about food and drink. One major difference for my Mrs is,she will now stop eating when she feels full and not when the plate is empty..
It also removes the urge to snack between meals.
NHS prescription no chance.
Private prescription via the internet.
Most choose the supplier based on price it does vary between suppliers.
You have to have a certain body mass index before you can get it.
My Mrs also had to supply photos before they would prescribe it.
Once you are on it they will allow you to continue even when your BMI is no longer obese.
They contact your doctor to inform them they are supplying it to you.
Of course paying for something that’s expensive, no doubt helps concentrate the mind on ensuring it’s a success.
Fair play, but what’s your point?I stopped drinking beer during the week.
I’ve stopped eating cakes and biscuits, bar the odd treat.
I had a scone, butter, and a pot of team at M&S today. :-)
I use a sugar substitute called Xylitol, which is a natural substance made from plants.
It’s calorie free, looks and tastes like sugar.
I cut butter out years ago when the price went through the roof.
I don’t drink fizzy drinks.
I now eat more fruit than I have very done.
I have a manual job that involves at lot of walking for 8 hours a day.
I have lost weight, and I maintain a steady weight.
I feel better than I have done in a long time.
Any bad side effects ?Im 3 in 3 and worth every penny for me, just like u making better life choices but it has allowed me to do that and if people are happy to pay i dont see the problem with it .
None at all tbf, i had steeled meself for em but touch would been okayAny bad side effects ?
Demand far outstrips supply so they have set the bar very high. You must not only be morbidly obese but also have other life threatening illnesses. Even so there are still many who qualify but there are not the available funds to deal with them. You have to enquire through your GP and they have been inundated since the announcement, so much so, many have stopped taking enquiries. Why NHS “ no chance “?
