Years ago when I was a kid my old dad used to smoke a pipe & would sometimes let me open a new sealed pouch of tobacco, That smell of fresh "baccy" was wonderful & I thought I would try this pipe smoking lark so when dad went to work I packed an old pipe with some baccy, lit it, had a couple of draggs, felt very odd turned a funny colour & threw my guts up.
Needless to say I never went near a pipe again but still love the smell of pouch tobacco.

When I was a child I loved the smell of newly cut grass after the council had been around to cut it.

It was years later, as a much more experienced, rounded person, that I realised it was the smell of the petrol mower and not the grass.
