Weiss

Proved what I've been saying, one for the futre, not ready yet.

Nowhere near good enough to replace SWP, like many on here were suggesting.

Agree with you 115... but would of been good top see him play alongside our normal starters instead of dis-jointed makeshift team we put out today, give the boy time his skill is evident as he matures and gains more body strength his undoubted ability will be unleashed on the prem.

he has ONE bad game and we're on about shipping him out on loan.

Oh dear.

Shpping him out is a bit harsh all people mean is that he doesnt appear ready for our first team yet so why not let him play first team at a lower level instead of being a sub or playing reserves?

Due to recent performances I'd say he deserves his place more than a certain Brazilian "superstar".

Agree with that post completely!

Mancini give him his chance and he didnt take it!!

agree with this, he's a funny lad, flatters to decieve.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic - I believed in you DeNiro

I think you are so a Clarkie moment?

Agree with most of this. Should go on loan for a season.

Still think its remarkable that people suggest he should start ahead of SWP though...

The kid is class and did as well as the others around him in a disjointed team,on a shit pitch in shit conditions.
I remember tranny being little more than a headless chicken running down blind alleys and diving all over the show when he first went to the swamp.
He seemed to do okay.
FFS-give Weiss a break and a chance!!

One innefectual game on a day where senior pros didn't exactly cover themselves in glory doesn't take away the fact that he is one of the most exciting academy products in a decade.

Couldn't disagree more

Quality argument...

Tell me why people think this kid is so good?

He is naturally gifted, lightening pace, uses both feet and gives defenders something to think about. Yes he has alot to learn but so did Ronaldo at his age. I watch him alot for Slovakia and he works wonders down the right for them. He either sets goals up or scores them, when he plays well, they do. He was a major factor in Slovakia qualifying for the World Cup

hallelulia that some people are waking up to the fact weiss is not the answer to all our problems. just like when things were bad under sven everyone was calling out for sturridge to play every game. weiss isnt a bad player, but he is not the savior some people make him out to be. even when playing for the reserves last season he wasn't the superstar of the team at all. players like david ball and adam clayton were much better over the course of last season.

I think part of his problem today was actually trying TOO hard.

There were many occasions today where a simple pass was all was needed but it seemed as though he wanted to do it all himself!

Still got a lot of learning to do IMO.

totally agree - and we have seen this several times already. in the barca pre season game he was outstanding, but we haven't seen similar form since, admitedly he was given limited opportunity under hughes.

i think he may benefit from 6 months on loan to the right club where he will play every week and develop his game play. he's got the talent but needs match time.
