Welcome Ederson

Wait until the season starts or in a game a mistake costs a goal, which they usually do from a goalkeeper. The press will be all out to get him followed by the remaining Joe Hart can do no wrong club.

I think it was good to see Ederson and Joe on the field together today, kind of puts a line under it and a perspective on it, what we had and what we have.

I'm over Joe now and looking forward to getting behind Ederson, he looks proper.

There's a few of them on here. The issue was, Joe's omission by Pep was clouded by the poor quality of his replacement. If you actually look back at his last 12-18 months, his form was inconsistent. And if he'd been replaced by some like Neuer or Buffon (as if!), there wouldn't have been half the uproar. Hopefully Ederson will turn out to be the keeper we all want him to be. And we can look back at Joe's days with joy at what he helped us achieve.

This.
Joe had his weaknesses but Bravo, no matter how good he was with his feet, is the worst keeper I have ever seen play in a City shirt. At one point last season he had conceded 16 goals from 24 shots! Good keepers have a ratio of 1 goal to 2.5 saves. The best have a ratio of 1 goal to 3.5÷ saves. Bravo has been garbage for us and thank goodness Ederson looks an excellent keeper as well as doing the passing stuff.

Watching the game yesterday I had a feeling that I have not had for years. Over the past few years they get passed our defence and I used to think that's a goal. Yesterday I sat there calm thinking if you get past the defence you still have to beat Eddie. He not only brings confidence to the team but to me as a fan. Think he is already superb and what a piece of business. Will be Brazil number 1 by World Cup and will be our number 1 for years to come. Going to become a fan favourite and it helps that he also seems like a really nice guy. Welcome Eddie we are so pleased to have you here!

He will, thrive under Pep, he already has a fantastic and accurate kick ( as seen in his pass to Aguero when he hit the post v Spurs) which is the out ball to rule them all, and could literally turn a game on its head with one kick.
I can't wait to see him in action in the Prem

He was poor but he had ability. I'll raise you Ike Immel and Eric Nixon as worse.

He is the real deal sweeper keeper. Completely over the top at times and is bound to drop the odd clanger when he comes rushing out.
However he is also a fabulous shot stopper, comfortable with the ball at his feet and his distribution looks excellent.
Super confident in all he does unlike Bravo.
Brilliant signing!
He will be a monster of a keeper for us.
