Out of interest what is the release clause in your view and how do you 100% know this?

Whether this is true or not, the news that Real couldn’t tempt Mbappé is significant. It means that they can no longer grab any player they want. Release clause or no release clause makes no difference, if he wants to stay (and why wouldn’t he?) he will sign an extension.

Okay, time to share the info, as I am now allowed. I was told by an informed member of the forum in private that the release clause is of £250M and it only kicks in if his performance standards and numbers in the first three years are below a certain level.

In other words, it is absolutely nothing to be concerned and like said, it will probably be gone in 12 months when a new contract is renegotiated. He isn’t leaving soon. If he eventually leaves, it probably would not be through an activation of release clause.

How do you judge performance standards? Ratings in the Sunday Sport?

it would make more sense if there are conditions about city for example if they dont win pl or cl in those 2-3 years hes allowed to leave for certain money

So it is best to not spread rumors though.
When you find out the real details you can share what you heard.

But I mean at the end of the day who cares, Haaland signed a 5 year deal and if anyone actually triggers the 150m + clause then it means he has been successful

I’m not spreading a rumor, I’m sharing an information. The main thing there is the number. It is £250M. There is a big difference between 150 and 250, which is: one COULD be payable and the other no one is paying. The funny part is, you had no problem believing and creating theories around the first fake numbers the media published. It’s impossible to know the fine print of the contract (ie: the details that would activate it) but I know the general, which is that it’s performance-linked.

I’m editing my post and taking that line out as I now realize it can be read as caving down to ignorance, which I won’t do. I am sharing info from someone who based on past conversations has given me more than enough reason to trust them and their access
