Good news. Another astute signing early in the window. Covers a host of positions but most importantly is a genuine goal threat from the left wing, and is a much better option than Nasri to play from the left.

The fact he's played under Pep is huge, and i suspect that's why he's been signed as much as his ability. In training from day 1 Nolito will know exactly what the gaffer wants, and the gaffer will be able to tell the young (and older for that matter) players "watch him, his movements, his timing, that's what i'm looking for".
 
4 year deal for someone who turns 30 in a couple of months.

Doesn't really fit the profile of the type of player I thought we'd be doing for.

Interesting to note the tone of this thread and the last few pages of the thread in the transfer forum compared to the posts when we were first linked with him ;-)

Now, this I don't understand.

In the other thread I said I thought he was poor in the Euros, "shocking" is the word I used, in fact.

The other other interesting/ alarming thing he says in his vid, is that he was 'a whisker away from being in the 'elite' team'. He played under PG once, according to him; so Guardiola obviously let him go.

Why?

And then sign him for us at 29?

I don't like the dynamics of this, at all.
 
Good signing. Seems like a genuine humble guy. I'm probably one of the few that was excited about this signing from the start.
