Probably, but if your first choice says no at first does it not make sensse to try and change their mind (DDR), and wait as long as you can, then get the second choice ? I think Nastasic was always a target because of his age, and they wanted something in return or a bigger fee, so good business there for me.
 
This guy will become a legend at City. He is heir to the throne of Alonso (1 years time) NDJ was a great player and servant to the club but this guy will be the one for us £16 mill on a £23mil player is a steal
