"I'd just say to the fans that i've come here to give absolutely everything. I'm a player who leaves nothing behind on the field, someone who gives his all. I am going to fight as hard as i can for the club. They have given me a fantastic opportunity, bringing me into a really great team which will be fighting on all fronts to win trophies, and what the fans will get is that desire and bravery that i try to put into every game i play."

Could be a firm fans' favourite very quickly this lad.
I must say he speaks well of himself... havent seen him play yet but im very curious how he will do and if stand by and plays like he says above im sure he will be a great player for us!!!

I hope he can slide tackle. Oh when javi goes slidin in!!!!

The most interesting part of that interview for me was when he says there had been interest from City as early as the Spain friendly before the Euros. That would have been late May so it is encouraging that the kid has been on our radar for a while rather than a panic buy as has been suggested in the media

A football expert in Spain, I forget who, said we have been scouting him for over a year now. Probably was our third option after De Rossi and the overpriced Martinez but should be a class addition.

Surely has to inherit Nigel's song too?

He's been scouted for at least 12 months apparently, nothing kneejerk or desperate about his arrival.I believe it purely hinged on DJ's situation and the talks with our other targets.

The way i see it...Mancini wouldn't have brought in any player he thought would have been massively inferior to De Rossi or Martinez. He wouldn't settle for that. Since Mancini came in every time City have missed a on a top target it's always someone of similiar quality that comes in.

If you listened to the interview he said before the euros regarding our interest in him so for me he was out first choice De Rossi was never an option
