Welcome to City Pep!

Buzzing when I heard he was coming, even more buzzing after hearing him speak.

Not that I would say the whole thing was going stale, but his arrival has reignited the excitement of what is happening at our great club. I literally cannot wait to see my club being led by this man.

What a pleasure to hear him speak live. I loved the bit about kicking the players ass. Sincere, honest, passionate and a sense of humour as well.
I didn't hear the interview myself, but if that's what he said then I would consider that to be his first shot across the players bows. He's already telling them that last season's efforts won't be good enough for him. The man knows what he is doing.

I think you're spot on.

Welcome to city Pep & co! Should be some cracking football played next season. interesting to bringing Arteta as Assistant as he's not really proved to be good managing material at the highest level yet really is he? i'd look on the OS but the shitty thing can't cope with the numbers on there today!

Crikey, if they have to be told when and where to pass then they shouldn't be playing for us. I suspect that all the other techniques you refer to have also been tried by previous coaching teams at the club, hopefully just not as well as Pep will implement.
In all seriousness though, we all need to calm down a bit here, a team is only as good as the sum of its parts. Pep won all those titles and games that someone quoted with 2 of the best teams in Europe, we're not at that stage yet.
You obviously haven't watched us the last season and a half then when we are a lot worse than the sum of our parts. Coaching makes the difference mate. Get a copy of Pep Confidential and enjoy.

For those not aware, full interview is in the city Twitter with a link to periscope. Impressive !

He looks the part, comes off as someone in touch with our project. Too bad I knew of the free tickets after it sold out. Well the Sunday one anyway.

Beaming this morning although it won't truly hit until I see him on the pitch.....
Hopeing Lorenzo Buenaventura can do what couldn't be done last year

He'll be a delight for tactically aware watchers.
The movement of players and switches of formation within one game will be something to behold.
Press conferences should be compulsive viewing too.

A brilliant day. But the players now have to up their game big time, too many half arsed shit performances last season let everyone down.
They have everything their now, best manager, best facilities but they have to run through a brick wall for Pep and keep going and win every game if we can. Bring it on.

I think we were all won over ages ago and we were all ready to be impressed, but I have to say Pep was mighty impressive today. Every word was straight from his experience and straight to the point - and in a foreign language.

The kind of guy who wont take any nonsense from the press, and will stand up for his players.
