Well done boss

I'm not putting the blame on one player, I have said previously said that Aguero, Yaya and DeBruyne were all poor, but in Aguero and DeBruyne's case that wasn't for lack of trying, they both just had stinkers, Yaya on the other hand well.....

Btw DeBruyne trotted 11.5 km in that game.

Distance covered isn't really a useful indicator. I have seen stats that Yaya covers more distance per game than Fernandinho (and most of our other players come to that), yet I wouldn't say he is making more of an effort. Effort is about more than just running.

Not sure you could properly describe it as 'hard earned', compared to what some people have to endure just to put food on the table.
Don't question the ethics of our owner.

He has brought pleasure and pride back to our club, he has given us things that we could only dream.

The guy maybe has got lucky, but my word what a legacy he is leaving for his people and for millions around the world.

That's fair but to suggest he just trotted about is nonsense, you don't cover that distance over 90 minutes by just trotting about.

That Yaya stat is surprising, not in the sense that Yaya covers so much ground but that Fernandinho covers so little, you certainly don't get that impression watching him.

No one was questioning his ethics, just pointing out that watching the Petro-dollars pile up in your account isn't really what we usually mean by 'hard work'. And good luck to him.

I think that is perhaps because Toure is in continual motion at a jogging rate (when not sat on his arse complaining) whereas Fernandinho plays more in spurts and sprints. Also maybe Toure gets forward more and as a result runs further to get back.

YaYa has been managed appallingly for two seasons

The same for our captain and Silva.

YaYa was no longer a 90 player, so use him accordingly, the captain and Silva have had constant injurie problems, never properly sorted or contingency plans made.
You had Komany and a 35 year old CB whose legs were gone last season and who was playing right through the close season for his country. We had Denyer, but Manuel sent him packing...amazing

As one match day wag said - the net result of his jogging is he's behind the ball when we are attacking and ahead of it when defending. Fernandinho is being effective with his movement.

Yaya has been a great, great player and at the heart of our success. Still been here two seasons too long though.
