We'll sound like we're raaaaaggggs

What really gets me is I am a true fan who fell on quite tough financial times last year and couldn't afford a season ticket so therefore have no chance of a cup final ticket. I'd previously had a season ticket all my life since I was 5 years old, I went down to the lower divisions, went to all league and cup games during those dreadful two years with Pearce in charge and have seen no success all my life.

Anyway, to the point, I wouldn't dream of singing these disgusting songs, yet you can bet your life that a lot of people who do sing them will get to go to Wembley(again). If the club get these people on camera, identify them and take their seasoncards off them, then people like me will be able to go.

Basically I'm still bitter about not being able to go to the cup final!

It'll be pathetic if you get chucked out for singing M*nich. Im not a fan of it and don't sing it by the way.

At the end of the day, City fans were singing these songs for ages and now people on here and the club are trying to do something because some of the papers picked up on it. Why didn't the club or the fans say anything last season? or the season before? etc.

To be fair they made a big deal about it before the Munich derby a few years ago. Even went as far as sending out letters to each individual supporter if I remember correctly. And it worked.

in the nicest way possible if you went to all these games surely you must be able to know someone or have a contact somewhere that can sort you out a ticket.

Is it only me that thought "we'll sing what we want" was simply taking the piss out of the rags singing "we'll do what we want".

When they "do what they want" innocent folk get hurt - see Wembley - when we sing "we'll sing what we want" nobody gets hurt.

From where I sit I heard it sang twice, and one rendition of the Yaya in united's net ditty. There were however many renditions of "yaaahaaa yaaahaaa yaaahaaa Toureeeee", a far better song imho.

I'm one that's against the use of the M word in our songs, but I can't for the life of me see why singing "we'll sing what we want" can upset anyone. It was typically ironic City fans, and that's what we're known for.

I'm surprised there isn't a thread moaning about us singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles" at the West Ham fans, how dare we be ironic and sing their song ?

"we'll sing what we want. you munich bastards. we'll sing what we want".

i was waiting for a drink and heard this. This old man who looked in his 70's or 80's next to me in the cue looked and me and just said "animals".

i felt ashamed. shame on whoever sang it.

A minority section of our support still needs to learn that songs about City are far more appropriate than songs about the boring rag wankers

No news there then

from what i heard in the south stand in the concourse at half time it was...... "we'll sing what we want, we'll sing what we waaaannnnt, you munich bastards, we'll sing what we want"

then a rendition of "who's that dying on the runway".

i felt sick.

this was definatly what was being sung most of half time and probably 10 minutes into the game in the concourse. it doesn't really bother me, but it was a lot worse than what was being sung at blackburn. only difference is no journo's posted it on tweeter.
